Career Guidance for Researchers (UBB-CORE) is to promote science and research as widely as possible in society, to encourage young people to get involved in research and to provide high quality career guidance services to established researchers.

The UBB-CORE Career Guidance Center offers::

  • Mentoring/tutoring services for researchers
  • Advanced coaching services for researchers
  • Continuing professional development services dedicated to Romanian researchers and foreign researchers temporarily working in RDI organizations
  • Volunteer opportunities within the center’s activities
  • Internships for students in RDI organizations
  • Assistance for foreign researchers to integrate into the scientific community and establish tax residence
  • Academic career management activities for researchers (career development monitoring, personalized assistance, counseling)
  • Romanian language courses for foreign researchers
The UBB-CORE Career Guidance Center organizes events such as:
  • Events promoting science in schools aimed at young people
  • Interactive science café events with invited guests who have achieved remarkable scientific results, presenting their field of expertise
  • Debate-style events with the participation of various local actors, focusing on concepts derived from research and their consequences for community life.
  • Networking events to facilitate the integration of researchers from outside Romania into the community
  • External training week
  • Traveling and interactive exhibitions

The specific objectives of the project are:

O1: Promoting science among young people in the North-West Region and attracting them to research;

O2: Promoting research results among the general public and local communities, to illustrate the importance of research in the economic development of the community;
O3: Assisting researchers from the North-West Region in their research careers and presenting new research career paths in academia, industry and business;
O4: Creating favorable conditions for the integration of researchers from outside Romania into R&D organizations in the North-West Region for short or long-term internships.
